Privacy Policy for AigoPilot Agent for Mac
Last updated: October 10, 2026
This page covers one app: AigoPilot Agent for macOS, published by Doment Digital FZE LLC. It is part of our full Privacy Policy, which also covers aigopilot.com, your account and your purchases. If you only want to know what the Mac app does with your data, this page is enough.
What the app does on your Mac
AigoPilot Agent lets the AigoPilot studio on your other computer start, watch and answer coding sessions on this Mac. It runs those sessions through the coding tools installed on the Mac under your own accounts: Claude Code, Codex or Grok. Those tools talk to their own providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, xAI), and what the providers receive and keep is governed by their terms and privacy policies, not ours. We are independent of all three.
To do this the app reads the session files those tools keep on your Mac and the project folders you work in, and sessions change files in those projects as you direct them. If a coding tool is missing, the studio can offer to install it; after you say yes, the provider's own installer is fetched from the provider's own address and run on the Mac. You sign in to each tool yourself, in the tool's own sign-in window.
The app never reads, stores or reuses the sign-in tokens or cookies of Claude Code, Codex or Grok, and it does not call their private interfaces.
Where your code, prompts and transcripts go
They stay on your own computers. They travel only between this Mac and a studio you paired with it yourself, and nowhere else.
Pairing is done by you: the Mac shows six digits and you type them into your studio. From then on every connection between the two is encrypted end to end with keys that were made on your devices and stay there. The app answers only a studio it was paired with. We do not hold those keys and cannot read what travels on that connection.
What reaches our servers, and why
- The update check. About once a day, and when you press "Check for updates", the app downloads a small public list of the newest builds from aigopilot.com, and a newer build when there is one. It is an ordinary download. It carries no account, no device identifier and nothing about your projects. As with any web request, our server and Cloudflare, which sits in front of it, see the IP address it came from. Before anything is installed, the app checks our signature on the list and asks macOS to confirm that the new build is signed by Doment Digital FZE LLC and notarized by Apple.
- The relay, for a studio on another network. So that your studio can reach this Mac when the two are not on the same network, the app keeps an outgoing connection to our relay at relay.aigopilot.com. The relay only passes bytes between the two ends. Those bytes are already encrypted between your Mac and your studio, so the relay cannot read them and cannot act as either end. It sees the IP addresses of the two ends and a room name derived from the Mac's key. It keeps no account, no file and no record of who connected to whom. The app's window shows when it is connected there.
That is all the Mac app sends to us on its own. It needs no AigoPilot account to run, and it does not send us your name, email address, files, prompts, transcripts, usage or crash reports.
On your local network
So that your studio can find the Mac without you typing an address, the app announces itself on your local network through macOS's own Bonjour service. The announcement holds the Mac's name, an identifier of this installation, its port and the fact that it is an AigoPilot agent. It is visible to devices on the same network. It lets nobody in: only the six digits, and afterwards the keys exchanged with them, do that.
No analytics, advertising or tracking
The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking software, and no crash reporter that sends data to us or anyone else. We do not sell or share data from the app, because we do not receive any beyond what is listed above.
What is kept on your Mac, and how to remove it
- The app itself:
AigoPilot Agent, where you put it (normally the Applications folder). - Its data folder:
~/Library/Application Support/com.aigopilot.studio. It holds the app's own database (an index of your sessions, your settings and which studios are paired with this Mac). - The Mac's own key for the encrypted connection, kept in your login Keychain under the name
AigoPilot. - If you leave "Start when I sign in to this computer" on: one file,
~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.aigopilot.agent.plist.
To remove everything: switch off "Start when I sign in to this computer", quit the agent, move the app to the Trash, delete the data folder, and delete the AigoPilot entries in Keychain Access. Your projects, and the coding tools with their own files, are not part of the app and are left as they are. The steps are also on the support page.
Permissions macOS asks you for
Local network. macOS asks whether the app may find and connect to devices on your local network. The app uses this for one thing: so that your studio can find this Mac on your network and work on it.
The app itself asks for nothing else: not the camera, the microphone, your contacts, your photos or your location. A coding session works with the files of your project, so macOS may ask on its own when a session first touches a protected folder such as Documents or Desktop. The Keychain is used only to keep the app's own key.
Children
The app is a tool for people who build software. It is not meant for anyone under 16.
