Promotions, notices and spam
Junk goes to one list at the foot of the column, and a customer lost in the spam folder is still found.
A mailbox gets more than customers: newsletters, receipts, notices from services, and spam. The studio sorts those out of your way so the column shows the people who need an answer. It also looks in the server's own spam folder, because a real customer's email sometimes lands there, and a support question you never see is worse than a newsletter you skip.
Nothing in any of this deletes mail for good.
The list at the foot of the column
When the AI reads an email and finds it is a promotion, a notice or spam, the email leaves the list of what waits for an answer and goes to Promotions, notices and spam, a folded line at the foot of the mail column with the number of unread ones. Open it to look through them. Each row carries its kind: Promotion, Notice or Spam.
A mailbox whose Read by AI switch is off is never sent to a model. For it, only the headers of an email decide whether it goes aside.
A person was put there by mistake
- Open the email in Promotions, notices and spam.
- Click A person sent this.
The email goes back among those that wait for an answer, and later emails from that sender stay there too. If the server had moved it, it comes back to the inbox. Move to the bin asks first and moves an email to the server's own bin, where your mail service keeps it for its usual time. The studio never sends the command that erases mail for good.
Moving them on the server too
When you add a mailbox, Promotions to the AigoPilot folder is ticked. With it on, promotions, notices and spam also move to a folder named AigoPilot on the server itself, so they leave the inbox in webmail and in the mail app of your phone as well. Untick it in the mailbox's settings and they stay where the server put them; the studio still shows them in its own list.
The server's spam folder
The studio reads the inbox and the server's spam or junk folder on the same connection. It finds that folder by the mark the server gives it, or by the usual names, Gmail's included. A message that is only in the spam folder is fetched within a minute or so.
Being in the server's spam folder does not make an email spam in the studio. It is read and judged like any other: a customer's question found there stands in your list with the rest, and real spam goes to Promotions, notices and spam. The studio does not move every email of the spam folder to the inbox; it moves one only when you say a person sent it.
Reading the spam folder follows the same rules as the inbox: the first look reads at most the last 14 days and 300 messages, and fetching never marks anything as read. A message that is both in the inbox and in the spam folder is shown once.
Adding a mailbox is in Mailboxes for each project; answering is in Reading, tagging and answering email.
Questions
Does AigoPilot delete spam?
No. It puts it in its own list and, by default, in a folder named AigoPilot on the server. Move to the bin is the furthest it goes, and only after you confirm.
Will I see a customer's email that went to my spam folder?
Yes. The studio reads the spam folder too, and judges each email there like any other, so a real question stands in your list.
