Search your email

One box finds any email the studio keeps, without asking your server or an AI.

The mail column has one search box that looks through every email the studio keeps, in every mailbox of every project. It finds a customer's old message by a word in its body, a name, an address or a subject, whether the email came in or went out, a week ago or a year ago.

Search came with the build of 30 October 2026, in the studio on Windows, the Mac and Linux. The iPhone app has it too, and that app is not on the App Store yet.

Search all email

  1. Open the mail column.
  2. Click the box Search all email and type a word, a name or an address.
  3. Click a result to open its conversation.
  4. Press Esc or click Clear search to go back to the list as it was.

The search starts a moment after you stop typing. Opening a result and coming back keeps what you searched for.

What it looks through

The sender's address and name, To, Cc, the subject and the body, in every folder the studio reads, including junk and the AigoPilot folder, in and out, of any age. Deleted mail stays out. Upper and lower case do not matter, and words in Japanese and other scripts are found inside longer text. Punctuation is searched as written, so an order number like A-1042 finds exactly that.

If you have chosen a project in the column, only that project's mail is searched. Clear the project to search everything.

How results are shown

Results come newest first, as plain rows. The split into sales and support, the pins, Awaiting their reply, and the unread and important filters step aside while you search, so nothing hides a match. Several emails of one conversation can each appear. Up to 200 are shown; when there are more, the column says First 200 results. Narrow your search to see more. There is no exact total.

It never asks your server or an AI

The studio searches its own copy of your mail on this computer, with an index it keeps up to date as mail arrives. Nothing is asked of the mail server and nothing goes to a model, so it costs nothing of your subscription. In a test with 50,000 emails, a search with no match took under 2 milliseconds and a common word about 60.

Search finds only what the studio has read. To search further back, choose a longer history, as How far back a mailbox is read explains. See also Reading, tagging and answering email.

Questions

Does email search use my AI subscription?

No. The studio searches its own copy of your mail on this computer. Nothing goes to a model or to the mail server.

Can I search only one project's mail?

Yes. Choose the project in the mail column first, and only its mail is searched.
