Replies in your language and script

Replies in one of 21 languages, kept apart from the language of the window, with right to left text handled by paragraph.

The studio itself is in English, but the sessions do not have to answer you in English. You can choose another language for replies, and your sessions will write their answers in it, even when you type in Latin letters. This is separate from the language of the window.

It is built for people who think in a language written in another script, and for left-to-right and right-to-left text in one conversation.

Choose the language of replies

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Find the group Languages of sessions.
  3. Open Language of replies and choose one of the 21 languages in the list, or English only.

The first entry, "As the app", follows the language of the studio, which today means English only. The setting counts for sessions you start or continue from then on.

What the session is told

AigoPilot gives every new Claude Code session a short rule through the tool's own option for adding to its system prompt. The rule says to answer in your language and script whatever you type in, including your language written in Latin letters or mixed with English words. It asks for natural phrasing, not an English sentence translated word by word.

It covers everything you read: replies, questions the session asks and their options, summaries, and each task in its task list. Code, commands, file paths, file names, identifiers, error messages, product names and technical terms that speakers of your language use in English stay as they are.

Comments and commit messages

By default, code comments and commit messages stay in English. Under the same group, Language of comments and commit messages lets you change that to the language of replies. A project's own instruction files still win, if they say otherwise.

Right to left and left to right

The studio draws each paragraph by its own letters, so an Arabic or Hebrew answer reads from the right and a line of code stays left to right. Two small buttons with arrows set it by hand for one session:

  • the one in the corner of the prompt box sets the direction of what you write;
  • the one at the top of the conversation sets the direction of the answers.

Each turns between automatic, right to left and left to right. The choice is kept for that session only and changes no other session.

The rule also covers the case where you type your language in Latin letters, the way many people write on a phone: the session still answers in your own script. For the other settings in the same window, see themes and text size.

Small tips

Turn the text direction for one session only

The arrow button in the corner of the box turns what you write, and the one at the top of the conversation turns the answers. Neither changes another session.

Questions

Do Codex and Grok follow the language of replies setting?

No. AigoPilot gives the rule to Claude Code sessions only. Codex and Grok are not given it.

Will code comments and commit messages change language too?

Not unless you ask. They stay in English by default. A separate setting under Languages of sessions switches them to the language of replies.
